The Mitten Tree returns to the library

Starting this month through December, the Center Moriches Library will be displaying their annual “Mitten Tree.” The tree will be up to help collect mittens, scarfs and hats for those in need.

“These are wonderful opportunities to help people who are struggling to provide during the cold winter months and holiday season,” said library director Marcie Litjens noting the success of it each year.

The library will also be hosting a box for the Toys for Tots Drive as well as an Animal Shelter drive in the teen department. They will be collecting food, toys and blankets for animals.
