The June 13 Chamber of Commerce of the Moriches meeting was held by Rich Flynn at the Moriches Field Brewing Co., and Yakeev Chance provided a great Jamaican-style banquet.

June’s Spring Fair, according to chamber president Jackie Osborne, was a huge success, with over 100 vendors.

“The community really came out in support and enjoyed a beautiful day!” she said.

During the meeting, the Miller Business Center spoke about all their programs to help small businesses. Also, in June, the chamber gave out Scholarship Awards to Cici Bransford of Our Lady Queen of the Apostle and Dillion Fitzgerald, at the eighth-grade moving-up ceremony in East Moriches, as well as Jillian Ryan for the high school senior Citizenship Award and Jaxon Wylie and Ryan Formisano for the Citizenship Award at Clayton Huey Elementary School during the fifth-grade moving-up ceremony.

Don’t forget to enter the chamber’s raffle for an e-bike, a Big Cat 2023 Fat Cat XXL-Fat Tire. The value is $2,1000 and tickets are $20 each. The winner will be announced at the Aug. 12 concert series but does not need to be present. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit the chamber’s website or scan the code. The e-bike is currently being displayed at AJ Sunflower Boutique and tickets can also be purchased in person at the Moriches Bay Deli, Druek’s True Value Hardware, Moriches Bay Realty, Jimmy Osborne Music, and AJ Sunflower boutique.

New businesses welcomed included M&T Bank and Demil LLC. To continue to support the chamber events and local business, visit the chamber website at https://moricheschamber.org.
