Not only will we be helping the families referred to us by local schools, but we will also be helping the Suffolk County Sheriff's Office with their school supply drive.
If you'd be interested in being a school supply happy helper, standard school supplies and backpacks can be sent to or dropped off at 44 Hawkins Avenue, Center Moriches.
I've set a goal for 250 backpacks—currently, thanks to a generous donation from the CMHS National Honor Society carnival and fun fair, I have 130 empty ones.
On July 19, we will be supporting/attending the Manorville Fire Department Vigilant Truck & Engine Company's third annual barbecue competition and rib cookoff.

And of course, we are very hard at work on my favorite event, Keith's Mega Auction, which will be held Oct. 18 at the Center Moriches High School gym.
We're always grateful for sponsors and prize donations and we are happy to collect your new re-gifted items to add to baskets we are making.
