Scholarship winner announced

Shout-out to Drew Coppola, our Center Moriches Helping Makes U Happy Scholarship winner!  

We were unable to make Senior Awards Night this year, so we wanted to be sure to give Drew the recognition he deserves! He’s one of our great helpers; we couldn’t have done so many Easter baskets successfully without him this year. He takes the initiative himself to do projects and he’s always offering to come back when we need him! Congrats, Drew, and best of luck in college!  

July begins our Summer of Feeding Families referred to us by schools, year 11. It’s a weekly effort from the beginning of July to the end of August, and we are always looking for volunteers to help us with deliveries one day a week to local families between Speonk and Mastic.

We are also very grateful for anyone who might want to donate nonperishable breakfast and lunch foods, or grocery store gift cards. Call or text us at 631-848-9008 for more information.

Looking forward to the Manorville Fire Department’s fourth annual barbecue competition rib cookoff on July 18. Music, delicious food, vendors, raffles—it’s an all-around great time (631-605-3639).  

This month, Helping Makes U Happy will be donating snacks to the family room at East End Hospice’s Kanas Center and donating to the Great Gun Moriches Anglers Take a Vet Fishing event.
