October is a really happy, busy month at Helping Makes U Happy!
On Oct. 9 we will be participating in Faith & Blue at the Harbor Church on Frowein Rd., Center Moriches. This event partners law enforcement, residents, businesses and community groups through the connection of a local faith-based organization to promote greater understanding.
The Center Moriches Street Fair will be back on Oct. 17, and HMUH will be there with our annual Free Halloween Costume Giveaway. Come visit our spot and look through the many costumes we have. We’ll be hard at work on our upcoming Casino Night event to celebrate Keith’s birthday and raise funds for helping people in need- check our website www.helpingmakesuhappy.org or call 631-848-9008 for more information.
This is also the month we start preparing in earnest for the holidays, starting of course with Thanksgiving. We’ll be doing a drop and go food drive specifically for Thanksgiving type non-perishables on Oct. 16 (rain date Oct. 24) at 44 Hawkins Ave., Center Moriches. Foods can also be dropped off any time that’s convenient for you to the beige drop closet at HMUH, 1 Neville St., Center Moriches.
Lastly, one of our favorite events is also coming back—the March of The Goblins for trick-or-treating on Main Street in Center Moriches on Oct. 31 from 2-4 p.m. Stop by our table, get your treat and wish Keith a Happy Birthday, won’t you?
