December 2024 - Erin Baldock is a senior at Center Moriches High School and will be attending Utica University next fall to play volleyball. Erin has been playing volleyball since the age of 12 and has been an active member of both travel and school teams. Throughout her volleyball career, she has won two county championships, a Long Island Championship, and was a state finalist. She looks forward to continuing her volleyball journey in college while majoring in Sports Management and minoring in Law.

In addition to her athletic pursuits, Erin is involved in several clubs and activities at her school. She is a member of DECA Club, Key Club, Yearbook Club, Drama Club, and Friends and Buddies. Erin is also part of multiple honor societies, including the National Honor Society, English Honor Society, Science Honor Society, Foreign Language Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society, and Rho Kappa Social Studies Honor Society.

Erin is also actively involved in her school’s Unified Programs. Last year, she participated in the Unified Basketball team and is currently involved in Unified Golf and Bowling. Erin takes great pride in being a part of this community, finding immense joy in contributing to and supporting her peers.

January 2025 - Haley Weingartner is a dedicated and hardworking senior at Center Moriches High School.  Her strong academic performance has earned her membership in the Mu Alpha Theta and English Honor Societies, as well as the achievement of the high honor roll each quarter.  In addition, she serves as the Secretary of the DECA club, where she enjoys attending events and collaborating with her peers on business-related projects.

Outside of academics, Haley’s passions truly shine. She has a big heart for giving back to her community and loves getting involved in local food drives and fundraising events, always on the lookout for ways to make a positive impact. Through the Student Leaders club, she helps organize school-wide events like PS I Love You Week, which spreads kindness and mental health awareness, and the Turkey Trot, a fundraiser supporting families in need.

Haley is also deeply committed to promoting understanding and empathy. As a member of the Diversity and Inclusivity club, she strives to create an environment where everyone feels heard and valued. She believes in the importance of being open-minded, actively listening to others, and embracing different perspectives to broaden her own.

Looking ahead, Haley is eager to continue helping others. She plans to pursue a degree in Psychology because she wants to make a real difference in the lives of others. Her passion for service and commitment to learning will undoubtedly lead her toward a career where she can have a lasting impact on others.
