Mason volunteer needed for memorial mural for Gabby Petito

Posted

Famed, local, muralist, Tess Parker, who is the brilliant and community-nuanced artist behind the Oakdale mural at the Idle Hour Deli, the USPS mural at the West Sayville post office, and logo mural of Sayville 'n Spice, has pledged her efforts and talents to creating a memorial mural for Gabby Petito in Blue Point.

Parker reached out to the Schmidt/Petito family to offer her services and to include them in the making of the mural to honor their daughter.

Patricia Byrne Blair has generously donated a wall on Main Street, near the King Kullen shopping center in Blue Point, Petito's hometown.

Before Parker can begin her work, she is requesting a volunteer skilled in masonry to help smooth the wall (an eight feet section from ceiling to floor).
