Manorville native serves aboard forward-deployed Navy warship in Japan

Seaman Recruit Christopher Hare, a native of Manorville, N.Y., serves in Japan aboard a forward-deployed U.S. Navy warship.

Hare graduated from Eastport-South Manner in 2023.

The skills and values needed to succeed in the Navy are similar to those found in Manorville.

“Growing up and working with my father, I was taught to never give up and always look for the positive,” said Hare. “Even when the work gets hard here in the Navy, I remember what I am working towards and always find the positive.”
