Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the stabbing death of a man that occurred in Bay Shore on Saturday, May 3.
Third Precinct officers responded to Railroad Plaza after a 911 caller reported a man stabbed at 6:40 p.m. When officers arrived, they found a man with a stab wound to his chest behind 115 Railroad Plaza.
The victim, Shurvell Rush, 47, who is undomiciled, was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore where he was pronounced dead.
Detectives are asking anyone with information on the stabbing to contact the Homicide Squad at 631- 852-6392 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
