With Valentine’s Day just over a week away, love is in the air at Bay Shore’s Main Street. If you’re looking for a restaurant to take your special loved one, look no further. Here are some of the deals Bay Shore has to offer for Feb. 14, which this year, lands on a Friday.

Roadtrip is a restaurant that celebrates American cuisine and cocktails. Each week is dedicated to the cuisine of one of 50 states. This Valentine’s Day will feature a pre-selected menu starting at $75 per person.

Patrons can choose one of five appetizers such as sweet chili-glazed meatballs or prosciutto wrapped scallops. For entrées, there are four options, including a spinach and sun-dried tomato-stuffed herbed chicken and citrus marinated sea bass served with fennel and zucchini salad. Lastly, for dessert, options include churro tiramisu and poached pears in red wine served with ice cream.

Two special cocktails will be served, $16 each. The Velvet Ember features bourbon infused with toasted almonds and cocoa nibs. Cupid’s Elixir is a floral-inspired drink with hibiscus-infused vodka, pink rose syrup and lime juice. It is topped off with Riesling wine.

Sweet Jane is a modern cocktail bar that focuses on drinks and small plates. They will be serving two plates: roasted petite filet featuring mashed potatoes, creamed spinach and bordelaise; and shrimp scampi with polenta, confit tomatoes, roasted broccoli, garlic butter and white wine. For those with a sweet tooth, a date cake is on the dessert menu.

As part of their Valentine’s Day menu, they will have their usual happy hour from 3 to 6 p.m. Cocktails for the evening will include lavender haze, lavender gin, blueberry amaro, lemon, vegan egg white and cava and bitter banter, larceny bourbon, coconut-washed Aperol, lemon and coconut water.

Although reservations are typically not accepted, they will be on Feb. 14, from 4 to 7 p.m. Walk-ins will be available all night, based on availability. Reservation requests can be made to dell.sweetjanebayshore@gmail.com.

Pecado is a Mexican restaurant that not only brings its culture to its menu, but to the atmosphere. They will have a special menu available all week for Valentine’s Day.

For appetizers, they will serve a ceviche verde tartar, featuring the catch of the day, jalapeño cilantro sauce, cucumber, jicama, onions and avocado, as well as queso panela asado, grilled panela cheese, chorizo and chimichurri.

Their entrées include Mar y Tierra for Two, a mix of wagyu picanha and pan-seared scallops and roasted halibut a la veracruzana. It is pan-seared halibut with Veracruzana sauce, served with roasted broccolini. For dessert, a red velvet tres leches will be available.

If hanging out at the bar is more of what you’re looking for, several restaurants on Main Street will still be having happy hours. Salt & Barrel will have a happy hour from 3 to 6 p.m., featuring beer, wine and cocktails. They will also have $1 oysters to go with your drink.

Tap Room will also have their happy hour from 3 to 6 p.m. For those who enjoy live performances, on Fridays there is live music and DJ’s.

Coastal Kitchen will also have their happy hour at the same time, 3 to 6 p.m., with live entertainment starting at 4 p.m.

ITA Kitchen will have their happy hour from 4 to 6 p.m. at the bar only. It features a special happy hour bar menu and discounted drinks. They will also be having a Galentine’s Day the day before Valentine’s Day for girlfriends looking to get together.

Lastly, Napper Tandy’s happy hour will be from 4 to 7 p.m. A variety of drinks will be available.
