Business Student of the Month

MARCH - James Taylor

James Taylor is a senior at Center Moriches High School who has been nominated for Business Student of the Month. He is recognized for his strong work ethic, participation, and outstanding performance in his dual enrollment business classes, where he has developed an interest in accounting, virtual enterprises, and business administration.

James has challenged himself through a wide range of activities. He has spent over eight years in martial arts, achieving brown belt status, and has been active in the performing arts, including breakdancing and music. As a trumpet player, he performed annual NYSSMA solos and earned placements in honor ensembles such as SCMEA, HMEA, and NYSBDA. As a freshman, he was selected for the American Music Abroad Program, touring Western Europe—an experience that sparked his interest in international business.

In addition to academics and the arts, James has been active in athletics and school activities, playing varsity soccer and serving as captain of the varsity tennis team. Known for his kindness, humility, and leadership, he is a role model who has given back through youth programs and community involvement. James has been accepted to several four-year SUNY schools as an accounting major and will make his final decision soon.

APRIL - Gianni Bergami

Gianni Bergami is a senior at Center Moriches High School who plans to attend Suffolk County Community College, where he will pursue a degree in Business Administration through a two-year program. From a young age, he has aspired to become his own boss and build a successful business, with the goal of creating a product that can improve people’s everyday lives.

Gianni has developed a strong work ethic through both his academic and work experiences. He worked alongside his father in construction, where he learned the importance of responsibility, dedication, and hard work. He also gained valuable experience working at two restaurants as a food runner and busser, strengthening his communication skills, teamwork, and ability to perform in fast-paced environments.

In school, Gianni has been recognized for his effort and character by earning Student of the Month honors during both his junior and senior years. He has also demonstrated a commitment to his community by donating blood multiple times and participating in the NYPD Project when he was younger.

As he begins his college journey, Gianni is motivated to continue learning and growing while working toward a future in business and entrepreneurship. He is especially grateful to his parents for their constant support, guidance, and influence in helping him become the person he is today.
