On May 24, 2019, congressman Lee Zeldin and Brookhaven Town supervisor Ed Romaine officially re-opened Webby’s Beach in Center Moriches to the public. The dredge of the Intracoastal Waterway was completed earlier this year and the sand collected from the project was used to replenish the beach and change the landscape to combat erosion. The Town of Brookhaven then completed the final touches on sand placement, including the grading of the beach.
